"I'll kill you" this is the sentence that every children use at least once in a day. Of course they say it as a joke but sometimes, it really happen. The video game company makes their games more cruel because without violence, children're not gonna be interested at all. Violent of children always become a topic for a newspaper and its cruelty become more worse. I heard news couple of years ago, one child killed his brother because he just wanted to kill somebody as what he played on video games but he didn't know whether it is bad or not. How sad story it is.
Nowadays in Korea, the most of children have a computer and they play games through the computer. When you go to PC Bang (it's like net cafe but is only purposed on computer games), you can see lots of children playing computer games and you can also easily hear the slander from those children. And they laugh loud when they kill another player on the games. I also play video games but I can't understand them...
An age of children, it is a development stage that they experience various changes both physically and mentally. They are not matured mentally so they are apt to be influenced by sentiment, and their personality is easily changed according to circumstances. So they always want to try whatever they saw on TV or play on games.
Of course the video games are not the root cause of violence but it affect to children a lot and may increase children's violence. It needs strong consideration to video games, make certain division between games for youth and games for adults.
When do you drink alcohol? Do you drink when you're sad? happy? or everyday? I usually drink when I have good news to celebrate. I want to tell you about Korean liquor today.
Actually, there are big three Korean liquor which are SoJu(소주), Mak-Guli(막걸리), and ChungJu(청주).
SoJu is the most popular liquor in Korea and we love SoJu because it's very cheap. It's only 900won($1) for one bottle(360ml). It is 20%~35% of alcohol and it is very bitter. It tastes nearly pure alcohol itself.
There is some relation between Mak-Guli & ChungJu. They use same source cereal, the rice. When you ferment a rice, you can get Mak-Guli and if you distill Mak-Guli, you can get ChungJu. Especially, Mak-Guli had been loved by farmers and it has another name which is NongJu. It means farmer's liquor. We also love to drink Mak-Guli because it tastes sweat and not bitter like SoJu. It has almost all kind of tastes. It is somewhat sweet, sour, and bitter; very unique tastes for liquor. It is only 6%~7% of alcohol just like beer but it looks like milk anyway....
ChungJu is strained from Mak-Guli and it is 15%~20% of alcohol. It looks very similar with SoJu but the tastes is close to Mak-Guli.
If you really love to drink alcohol, try these Korean liquor. It'll help you to forget your sorrow. From the left, SoJu, Mak-Guli and Chung-Ju.
When you use your computer for long time, you may think you'll get fat because of lack of exercise. However, here is the woman who loses 500 pounds on Internet Diet. She lived her life as Robinson Crusoe in the center of the city. She spent many years living reclusively in her one-bedroom. At one point, she had not been outside in more than 3 years. She was ashamed to leave the house, but she turned to the Internet to make friends and stopped using food to compensate for her lonliness and isolation. Who say the internet is bad??
I'd wanted electric shaver for last 1 year but I hesitated to buy it because everyone around me said that it doesn't work good as a razor. However, I got the electirc shaver for my birthday present! The name is Prosonic from Braun.
This is really great shaver rather than what I've thought. This is the brand new product of Braun shaver. It works really well and very easy to use. This is the first time of using electric shaver for me and I'm deeply impressed with its excellent work. My face always got a razor cut when I use a razor but, with this one, I don't need to worry about a face cutting. Also, it saves my shaving time. Before I use electric shaver, I spend about 15 minutes to shave because I had to wash my face first with warm water, put shaving cream on my face and had to shave with real care. However, it takes only about 2 minutes with this electric shaver. And it does really great job as comparing to a razor. This is really smart electric shaver because it has self cleaning system so you don't worry to clean it yourself. This is the best item for my birthday present I got until now.
Here's some video clips. Take a look how it works. After seeing this video clips, you'll be admire for this great shaver.
My printer ran out of ink yesterday, so I changed the printer!! You might say "You're crazy!! Change the printer because it ran out of ink??!!" However, the new ink is really expansive!! If you change the ink three times, you can buy new printer!! Anyway, I got this printer for free!! I won a prize on the event :)
This is really great printer comparing to my old one. It has card reader section so you can print out the pictures from digital camera without a computer. Also it can print out on the CD by using the tool kit. You can make your own CD covered with your favorite picture.
The 3rd one is the one that I printed out on CD. It's cool~
Here's the picture that you can feel an optical illusion. This is really ridiculous. I can't believe my eyes anymore after I saw this picture. OK Let me explain.
The picture you see on the left, you can see the block named A and B. Block A is black and block B is white right? However!! It's not right!! Block A and B is the same color!!! If you can't believe it, just copy this picture to MSpaint and erase all stuff around block A and B except for those block. And check their color.
You will not believe what you see...
I just want to compare these 2 brands of pizza.
First! Pizza Hut, they offer various toppings to their customers. They offer potatoes, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins, etc. which Americans never expect to have on their pizza. However, it apeals to Korean customers who are very picky about their health. Not only that, they look pretty and colorful.
However, the prices are crazy!! 1 Familiy size of pizza costs about over $30!!!
On the other hand, Papa John's, they don't care about how good looking their pizza is. They just care about the quality of integrants and good taste. They proudly reveals their integrants and freshness of them. I read the article from someone's blog that he tested 5 of his friends that let them taste 5 different brand of pizza with closed eyes. In the result, 4 out 5 picked Papa John's for the best taste.
It's hard to say which one is better because actually, they are targeting different market. While Pizza Hut is focusing on family friendly restaurant where people can hang out and enjoy their companionship, Papa John's is focusing on delivery and taste of their pizza. However, if you're really picky about the taste of pizza, I recommend you to have Papa John's
Soo-Neung exam is entrance exam for the University in Korea. Today is the day of Soo-Neung and it's like a big event in Korea. Down below are the pictures of today~
The juniors of each school come and cheer their senior for the good result of exam.
This picture seems they sing their school song for their senior.
Also all police offiers help the students to get them to the school on time, and mothers pray for their children in front of the school gate.
This is familiar scenes in Korean on Soo-Neung day.
I think it's doesn't make sense that students are tested by just this one exam. And I think this Soo-Neung system should be repealed.
I have thought about my city, Seoul and just poped up how can Seoul become better city to live. The list below is what I've thought. What do you think?
@Make more Park
- The park should be a place poeple get a break. However, in Korea, especially in Seoul, it's not easy to find the park. There are not enough places for citizens to rest. We should have break!!
@Wide well ordered street
- I think the streets of Seoul are competely chocked with traffic. We need wider and well ordered streets.
@Make buildings looks tradition
- I had been a China couple of years ago and I surprised that old fashioned; traditional buildings were very beautiful. If Seoul builds buildings traditionally, it's gonna bring more tourists.
@Build more libraries
- There are not enough common libraries in Seoul. I wonder whether the ward libraries exist. The book and a reading are very important to children. Should make a place for students!
I was really shocking that I can see any city in the world by this Wikimapia. I just heard from Sean who is my English teacher in Univ. This is really fun, and I looked for my home in Korea by this map.
Here we go~ I found my home and there was no information about my home (actually, the apartment), so I'd added information about my home. You can add any information you want. This is really great!
My home is surrounded with mountain..... I didn't know that.... umm....
And also I'd tried to find the place where I lived in Indonesia!!
I tried to find where I lived in Indonesia but it's really hard to find.... I can't remember the address, and Jakarta is really big!! However, I found this mall which name is Pondok Indah Mall!! This is the place where I hung out with my friends after school!!
I really miss this place......
I want to find one more place in Japan!! Let's move on to next!
I think this cross is the busiest cross in the world. When you click that square in the map, the description says,
Scramble Crossing
The world's busiest street crossing and the location famous for having the highest density of cellphones anywhere on Earth. Cars drive through the busy intersection, but once the light turns green, pedestrians from every direction scramble across madly until the light goes red again.
I went there at Christmas day, and the people were like.... Uh~~~
It's was like a wave of people.
Anyway, It is really good for looking the city by this map. If you want to find somewhere you want, go to www.wikimapia.org . Then you will see what you want to see.
oh, you also wrote about the printer? anyway, there was a technical problem when I wrote this so I couldn't... read more
on New printer!!
